Farm Committee and Volunteers

WHEN:  Until restrictions associated with responding to the Coronavirus pandemic response have been lifted,  the schedule for Farm Group work sessions will be announced weekly.

When life returns to normal, we will again start meeting on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the garden shed!  Please note during the summer heat, July and August, the Group will meet Monday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Friday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 am.

WHERE:  The garden shed is located down the walking path at the intersection of 7th and Banker, or via the gravel farm road off Farm Court near the Community Barn. Upon arrival, ask to speak with one of the four 2020 Leadership Team members (Cheryl Cook, Laurel Dow,  Sharon Halvorsen, or Sallie Morse) to get started.  Look for ladies wearing very colorful hat bands!

For more information about the farm, please email us at HSCF208@gmail.com or HSTA@hiddensprings.com.

We are excited to start planting seeds at the community farm. We have had a group of volunteers who helped prep our raspberry and blackberry areas for the season and with that task nearly completed we are ready to focus on other areas of the farm.  We will be working at the farm on Monday, March 22 from 4-6. We will once again be using Sign.com for volunteers to sign up to work.  Knowing who is coming and how many people are coming in advance helps us plan better work sessions. • Cleaning up dead rhubarb leaves and side dressing rhubarb with compost
  • Raking the straw back from the garlic and side dressing with cow manure
